The countdown has begun… That’s how Holland Casino prepares for the reopening!

On 1 July Holland Casino may receive its guests again after a closure of 16 weeks. How are the Holland Casino staff at various branches and departments preparing for this exciting moment? Holland Casino counts down with an interview with a different colleague every day. Super fun: our Object Leader Anita was also interviewed. Below you can read the interview that Holland Casino conducted and shared with all her employees.
A few days to go until the reopening, are the cleaning staff ready?
"We'll dot the i's and then we'll be ready! During the closure Holland Casino kept us very well informed and included us in the adjustments that will be made later on. Before the casinos open again, we have one last work meeting in which everything will be discussed once more so that everyone knows what to expect on the 1st of July. For example how the walking routes are, but also the extra cleaning work that wasn't there before. Holland Casino and EW Facility Services have been working together for so long, so even in this day and age we get it on the road together again".
What will be the biggest change in your work from July 1st?
"Precisely this time it is of course very important that everything is cleaned very well, so the cleaning work will be carried out even more intensively by us. In principle, our work will remain the same, only there will be some extra work to be done, think of the plexiglass screens that were not there at first. In addition, we will clean more if there are actually guests in the casinos. The guests will probably also be more alert to whether everything is cleaned properly and we want this to be visible to them so that they feel safe when visiting the casinos. However, cleaning with the guests around us will also require some adjustment from each other, such as keeping enough distance. So it will all be just a little bit different than we were used to."
What are you looking forward to most?
"I was really in shock when the casinos closed in March. Especially the first few weeks, I had a very uncomfortable feeling. Holland Casino feels like our second home. We are proud and happy because we work in the beautiful Holland Casino Breda. I missed working with my colleagues on the shop floor enormously. Normally you don't think about it that much, but now I notice how incredibly happy I am that we can get back to work. So the reunion with the colleagues is really what I look forward to the most".
