Thialf and EW Facility Services extend successful partnership
Skating stadium Thialf has been working with EW Facility Services since 2002. Passionate colleagues of the facility service provider take care of the daily cleaning of the entire complex and are engaged when events take place. Thialf has once again decided to continue its partnership with EW Facility Services. Hospitality, flexibility and reliability will also form the basis of this long-term partnership in the years to come.
Vibrant environment
Thialf is the stage for top-level (inter)national skating events. This demands professionalism, manoeuvrability and a hospitable attitude from its partners. These are important pillars that EW Facility Services focuses on in its services. Marcel Brugge: "Normally Thialf is buzzing and a visit is a real experience. With our services, we can contribute perfectly to this. Last year things took a slightly different turn, but that's when you see how agile we all are. Look for instance at the European Championships Allround & Sprint, the World Cups and the World Distances Championships that were held at Thialf in January and February. For five weeks, we went into a bubble with Thialf and the skaters. With success, because nobody got infected with the coronavirus. Something we are enormously proud of."
Listening is key
According to Marcel Brugge, listening and clear communication are key to the long-term cooperation. Marcel: "We have short lines of communication with Thialf and our contact is easily accessible. Everything can be discussed and we keep each other informed of progress. We really form a team in this respect. Marc Winters, director of Thialf, endorses this. "The dynamics of our organisation require customisation. During the busy skating periods and the many events throughout the year, we expect different things from partners than during regular moments. EW Facility Services moves with us in this respect, together with our people. We can rely on everything being realised as agreed." Marcel adds: "Per day and event we look at the needs and wishes of Thialf. We think along with them and advise them, for example, about the people to be deployed, resources and walking routes. This way, we can optimally deploy our services.
