We also continue to train our colleagues remotely
The world looks different at the moment than we could have imagined at the beginning of this year. For some of our colleagues, this means that they are working in a different location than usual, such as a hospital or nursing home. There are also hotels that are used as care hotels. This requires different cleaning skills than in hotels or offices. But what kind of approach does working at a care location require? What needs to be taken into account and where is the focus? A number of Housekeepers, Object Leaders, Rayon Managers and trainers follow SVS’s e-learning module ‘Healthcare’ in order to be able to steer this in the right direction.
E-learning 'Healthcare
With the help of this e-learning module, knowledge in the field of healthcare is increased in a short period of time. The training consists of instruction videos and assignments, with which everyone can get to work themselves. In between, digital meetings take place to share experiences and ask questions. Training at a distance takes some getting used to, but works well. Anke Mulder, trainer at EW Facility Services: "It is different, but sharing knowledge in this way works well. The e-learning module is clear and instructive. Are there any questions? Then they can be asked via a digital meeting. A lot of use is made of this as well. With this training we just dot the i's and t's of our colleagues. Nice that we can increase their knowledge in this way!
Everywhere else
The basis of cleaning (cleaning and disinfection) at a care location is the same at every care institution. However, they each have their own protocols. That is why the training for our cleaning staff takes place 'on the job'. Anke Mulder: "This enables us to take the specific guidelines of the location into account."
