Experience hospitality and cost savings
The healthcare market is changing fast. With patients’ and consumers’ free choice of care, it’s increasingly important for healthcare institutions to positively stand out from the crowd, especially in terms of service, image and hospitality. The quality of these services increasingly determines the patient’s choice. But with changing funding streams and cutbacks, healthcare institutions are also looking for ways of managing the costs of their ancillary services as effectively as possible. And it’s precisely on these points that EW Facility Services offers a unique concept.
New-style facility services
The Diakonessenhuis hospital in Utrecht, the Topaz Revitel convalescence hotel, the Basis Foundation and other organisations have already contracted EW Facility Services as their multi-service facilities provider, and so gained in-house expertise in the fields of hospitality, results-oriented working and flexible costs. Together with clients and healthcare professionals in the facilities sector, EW Facility Services develops innovative solutions for facility-related challenges, with the aim of providing worry-free, hospitable and cost-effective services in which the needs and the experience of patients, clients, visitors and employees are the prime concern.
Focus group
To help maintain our continuous innovation , this year EW Facility Services set up a healthcare focus group. In this setting twelve facilities professionals from various healthcare institutions share their knowledge and insights on current issues. The first meeting took place last month, on the themes of service and hospitality, cost control and outsourcing ancillary healthcare tasks. One of the focus group members is Annet Udding, proprietor of Udding Interim and Project Management. “This first time we shared expertise and experiences with great enthusiasm, linking the knowledge of experts with EW Facility Services’ vision of healthcare on the basis of their sector-specific experience. That kind of openness takes guts, and that makes them a surprising alternative for the healthcare sector.”
Room service
EW Facility Services made use of the opportunity to test out its new room service provision in the focus group. Healthcare sales manager Marije Wildenborg explains: “With room service we offer a comprehensive package of tasks that support the healthcare process. Because of the demand for a strong focus by care personnel on the primary healthcare task, there can be less time left over for ancillary tasks, and for attention for the patient or client. Room service is an ideal solution to relieve care staff of these burdens and still create an optimal experience for patients, clients and their visitors. Room service staff concentrate on tasks such as cleaning rooms, serving food and drinks, making beds and welcoming visitors.”
