For several years now, cleaning service provider EW Facility Services has been active in the healthcare segment. The ambition to expand this market share was already there, but the corona crisis accelerated this for the facility service provider. The organisation offered a helping hand to care institutions that were in urgent need of expertise and support for their cleaning teams as a result of this crisis. In order to further professionalise this need and to expand the cleaning services in the care sector, EW Facility Services has appointed Jeannot Peijen as Business Development Manager Healthcare as of 1 May.

Hospitality as the guiding principle

Peijen: "In recent years I have enjoyed working for the hotel segment within EW Facility Services. However, as a result of the corona crisis, we saw a decline in the demand for cleaning services within this segment. As a result, I shifted my focus to the healthcare market last year and looked at the possibilities for helping hospitals, nursing and care homes, rehabilitation centres and covid locations with their cleaning issues. I discovered that healthcare in all its facets was close to my heart and appealed to me. That is why I am now happy to make the switch to the healthcare segment. As Business Development Manager Healthcare, I will focus on expanding our care portfolio, whereby our cleaning responds to the demand of care institutions for a hygienic environment and a sustainable interpretation in the areas of hospitality, flexibility and professionalisation, of course.
