EW Facility Services takes up the sporting challenge and raises € 50.000,- for the Stelvio for Life foundation.

For the sixth time a team of EW Facility Services was at the start of Stelvio for Live on 31 August 2019. A sporting event in which the mountain pass ‘Passo dello Stelvio’ in Italy is conquered while walking, running or cycling and that aims to raise money for the Center for Personalized Cancer Treatment (CPCT). In CPCT, doctors, researchers and many Dutch hospitals work together to find the best treatment for every patient with cancer. There are various studies into the treatment of cancer, but it is precisely the idiosyncratic and innovative way in which the CPCT looks at it that suits our organisation. That is why we support this goal and are particularly proud of the performance of our EW for Life team this year.

EW Facility Services takes up the sporting challenge and raises € 50.000,- for the Stelvio for Life foundation.

Team EW for Life consisted of 25 colleagues & relations. For the participants it is a personal challenge to get the most out of themselves to complete the journey. A physical, but also emotional battle. Everyone goes to great lengths to reach the finish and as an organization we are very proud of the fact that all participants have reached the finish line.

The Passo dello Stelvio is a well-known, spectacular high mountain pass and a favourite among cyclists. The participants start at an altitude of 1.225 meters and the climb goes to the finish at an altitude of no less than 2.758 meters. The length of the climb is about 21.1 kilometers and the average percentage of the climb is 7.1%, but has peaks of over 14%. (CPCT).

Total yield

The total amount raised during the Stelvio for life event is € 470,500. A fantastic amount. By investing in the event together with other sponsors, 100% of the collected amount goes to the research of the CPCT. And that's good, because they can use every euro.

That's why EW Facility Services and its team EW for Life will do everything they can next year to do their bit!
