Manoeuvrability with varying cinema occupancy is strength EW Facility Services at Kinepolis Haarlem
Last month the renewed Kinepolis Haarlem opened its doors to the public. For EW Facility Services this meant the premiere of its cleaning activities for this new client. The main focus of the cooperation is to be able to anticipate on the fluctuating cinema occupancy, without compromising on a high level of quality. Especially in this time of corona an important condition. It is a role that EW Facility Services has been built to fulfil. The facility services provider is responsible for cleaning, chair cleaning, floor maintenance, glass cleaning, and the revamp cleaning.
Occupancy, cleaning and costs run in parallel
The dynamics of a cinema require a clear vision of flexibility. The current corona situation and associated government measures reinforce this need. Bas van Oosterwijck, National Manager Experience Kinepolis Netherlands: "The nature of our company has always ensured that we have to deal with strongly fluctuating visitor numbers. Unfortunately, due to the corona measures, we are currently able to receive fewer visitors than usual, and since yesterday evening 10 p.m. cinemas are completely closed to the public. This will take at least until Thursday 19 November. This means that the cinema will be used differently. There is a lower or sometimes no occupancy rate and therefore also a lower level of pollution. It is difficult to predict how long this will take. Fortunately EW Facility Services moves with our situation. In these difficult times this is an important relief for us. They tune the cleaning to the current occupancy and adjust the pricing accordingly, which means that we only pay for what we purchase. At the same time, she ensures that the agreed quality standards are realized. That requires 'entrepreneurship' from our partner.
