Sixteenth edition of MT at the workplace

On the 2nd of February, the annual DT op de werkvloer (MT at the workplace) took place at EW Facility Services. On that day, the Management Team gets to work at the clients alongside the cleaning staff.

Good employment practices

As a signatory to the Code of Responsible Market Conduct, EW Facility Services endeavours to ensure good employment practices. The multi-service facility service provider wants to provide a pleasant working environment for its employees in which they are happy to work, are able to work well together and where people feel at home. To achieve this, it is important to keep in touch with employees continuously and to listen to and learn from their practical experience. EW doesn't only pursue this goal through the annual "MT at the workplace"; investing in its employees is a fundamental aspect for the facility service provider. Personal development and the provision of training and education programs are important factors for EW Facility Services.

Continuous improvement

"Each year during MT at the workplace, we experience so much enthusiasm and commitment from our employees, both towards our own organisation and towards the organisation of our clients", says general manager Bas Cornelissen. Of course, points for improvement are also identified during that day. "We take incorporate these in the continuous evaluation of our internal processes, enabling us to optimise work processes for employees and to better tailor our services to the needs of clients and end users. We have been organising this day for 16 years now, but it will never get old. It is great fun to keep in touch with our people this way".

A variety of clients

This year, the board members went to work for all types of clients. For i.a. Financial Director Manuela Spaninks, this was the first experience with the facility services provider's annual tradition. She rolled up her sleeves at the Diakonessenhuis in Utrecht: "When I started at EW Facility Services, I cleaned at a number of locations, but I haven't had the privilege of working at such a unique healthcare location before. I got to meet a very enthusiastic team, committed to the work. A sublime team indeed!"
