Team at Van der Valk Arnhem wins EW Service Award
Unsuspectingly, the EW Facility Services team at Van der Valk Arnhem was recently surprised by the jury of the EW Service Awards. Out of all the teams in the hotel category, they were chosen as the best performing team of this year. Housekeeper Camelia was completely surprised: “I didn’t notice this surprise robbery and am very happy with the award. I am very proud of my team. We do it together and are all equally important within our team. It’s just SUPER.”
Distinguish
Key Account Director Hotels and member of the jury, Patrick van Meeuwen, sees the award more as a distinguishment: "Actually, I think talking about a distinguishment fits better. The team at Van der Valk has really distinguished itself. After our visits to the three nominees, we got the feeling that this team in the Hotels category could just be the winner." Important criteria are cooperation, involvement, quality and contribution to the experience of the (end) users. Patrick: "During our jury visit, we were very impressed by the close bond within the team. Sometimes you work with people without really knowing them, here there is a sincere interest in each other, both business and private. In addition to offering quality and guest experience, this translates into the way in which they interact with each other and with the client. They are always there for each other and for the client. This is what the word TEAM stands for: Together Everyone Achieves More."
In the resit
The fact that the team at Van der Valk always goes for a top performance is shown by the fact that after last year they were nominated again this year. This year they received the award. According to the client, this is entirely justified. In his opinion, Camelia and her team deserved the award this year even more than last year. And now what? Camelia: "The award means a lot to us, but on the other hand nothing changes. We will continue to do everything we can to remain the strongest and best team!"
EW Service Awards
The EW Service Award of EW Facility Services is an annual award in which the multi-service facility service provider searches for the best performing teams within its organisation. It distinguishes two categories, namely Hotels and Offices, High traffic & Care. For each category, three teams are nominated for the EW Service Award, after which a final winner is announced. Important criteria within the award are cooperation, involvement, quality and the contribution that the team makes to the experience of the (end) users. With a great diversity of clients and teams, a nomination is something to be proud of. Over the past year, the nominated teams have shown that they excel in their service provision and as a team. EW Facility Services created the award to be critical of its own services; but just as important is the goal of this award to show appreciation for the dedication and enthusiasm of its employees.
